Our Story
Salammal, mother of 5 sons started her life as a silk weaver. On the other hand, her husband Subramania Mudaliar was more into weaving handloom Lungies. Later together along with their Sons they diversified their business to lungies, fabrics, garments (export) and real estate. Each of her Sons were assigned to each division. While the silk division exclusively focused on wholesale for the past 35 years. Mr S Perumal (youngest Son ) along with his wife P Amutha and his Son P Suresh decided to offer silk to both wholesale and retail under the name of Salammal Silks in 2024. .

Who We Are ?
Salammal Silks is a Partnership Firm commenced by Mr Perumal, S/o.Subramania Mudaliar, his wife Ms Amutha Perumal and his Son Mr P Suresh. They’ve commenced this business with their own investment. ‘Salammal” was the mother of Mr Perumal who is the youngest son of her. Their brothers and him basically a silk weaver’s engaged in producing and trading of fabrics, lungies and sarees etc., After a certain period they segregated their business for their own in which Mr Perumal commenced this silk saree shop.
